The major thing that happened all day was that we lost and ended up being forth position in volleyball 😥😥😥😥😥😥. Just glad it’s all over
I did camp police today… Very funny position. I kind of had fun. I didn’t really have to move around a lot, and I could go in to my room to sleep. Well, my platoon came first position in football😀😀😀😀😀.. It was so exciting to watch the match(have you realised that competitions are better enjoyed as outsiders than participants?).
Nothing of importance happened today, everyone is preparing for social events where there will be miss nysc, Mr macho amongst others.
The day of socials have arrived, it started by 8pm. By 8:30, so many people were already drunk (I am like really?), anyways the main show started pretty late.. It ended by 3:30 am the next day… I stayed till the end(yayyyy me). I slept at intervals at the event because the pauses where so much, thank God I had a good pillow😁😁😁😁😁😁 (my friends chest😉😉) to sleep on….
I Had fun.. Glad I went for the social event😏😏😏😏.
This was an exciting day… I cannot overemphasize how good/bad the day was. Okay let me start from the beginning, the carnival was to start by 9am but it started by 12 noon. So we all dressed nice, crazily!!!!…. It was fun. My platoon won the carnival exhibition as per usual (best platoon ever), we screamed and danced and danced. 😊😊😊😊😊 I am so going to miss this guys 😥😥😥.
You wouldn’t believe what happened once the carnival ended, the soldiers decided to be crazy… The made us all change to our white on white (prisoner uniform) sharply and rush to the parade ground. We were then punished… They then made us rush back to our rooms to wear one white shoe and one jungle boot and then bring our toothbrush with toothpaste (I was like really?).. In the end, all this was futile because we didn’t even use the brush for anything. But, as the day is getting smaller I’m realising how much I am going to miss my friends😥😥😥😥.
My stomach started to hurt when I was in church, I couldn’t hold it anymore at some point. I had to run to the toilet, it was not a pleasant experience 😥
I Had to look for accommodation for when I get my place of primary assignment. Thinking about my place of primary assignment is making me to worry tho.
How could I forget…
So my fellow corpers decided to drink themselves to stupor and then decided to cause an uproar. The soldiers decided to now wake everybody up including the innocent ones(Ive never been so pissed).
They made females stay In the volleyball court and the males in the field. My roommate had a panic attack, it wasn’t pleasant at all. I thank God for his guidance because the way I was able to calm my roommate down with other people, I know it wasn’t only by my might. I cannot overemphasise how scared I was that night. I thank God for life.
The D day, the day that our place of primary assignment will be announced to us….. Boy was I scared!!!!
I was posted to a school to teach and the school is in the town (praise Jesus somebody!!!!!)
I am staying in my church family house for now until I finish my documentation.
I am grateful to everyone for following me all through this journey, this experience was a very different but educative one… Thank you all for the comments.
I might start another series (fingers crossed).. I really appreciate all the comments.
